Crockpot Teriyaki Ribs

I don't usually make ribs, but we tried these when working in the Uintas and loved them. One of the couples had us over for dinner and made these. The wife is from japan, and is a great cook. After trying these ribs I decided to add this recipe to our family favorites list.

Crockpot Teriyaki Ribs:

1 rack spare ribs sliced into individual ribs
approx 3/4 cup soy sauce, (I recommend Kikkoman)
approx 3/4 cup sugar (white, brown or turbinado is fine)
whole head of garlic, peeled
about a 3 inch piece of fresh ginger peeled and sliced

Melt sugar in soy sauce in saucepan. Add garlic, ginger and individual ribs into crockpot.Cook on low heat 3-4 hours. Meat will be falling off the bone. Or you could cook in heavy pan over low heat about 3 hours. You can also bake in a roasting pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours.

Enjoy!
