CORNBREAD FROM SCRATCH

I ALWAY THOUGHT THAT MARIE CALENDARS CORNBREAD MIX THAT YOU JUST ADD WATER TO WAS THE BEST, AND IT PROBABLY IS THE BEST MIX, BUT IF YOU WANT TO MAKE CORNBREAD FROM SCRATCH, THIS RECIPE IS IT!
1 CUP MELTED BUTTER
1 CUP SUGAR
4 EGGS
2 1/2 C BUTTERMILK
1/2 TSP. SODA
2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1 CUP CORNMEAL
3 CUPS FLOUR
1 TSP. SALT
MIX BUTTER, SUGAR, AND EGGS. ADD MILK. STIR TOGETHER ALL DRY INGREDIENTS THEN ADD TO LIQUID. STIR UNTIL MOIST POUR IN GREASED 9X13 PAN. BAKE 350 FOR 35 MINUTES.
